Introducing :: Hucks
Despite yet not having got around to either 1) a Facebook presence, or 2) a band mugshot, and 3) have only one newly uploaded track online, London outfit Hucks have still managed to start gettting themselves noticed on the old Twittersphere.
So, while you submerge yourself in said track, 'Three Four Five', we will inform you if what we know of them. Formed last September, the five-piece London band have so far put in some minor pub giggage time around Camden and Bexley in Kent, but are planning on setting up some serious stuff this summer, and hopefully a festival or two.
This first track, the just shy of three-minutes-thirty ‘Three Four Five’, is all we have to go on so far, but would seem to set Hucks out as a band influenced by dream-pop, with psych sensibilities. Opening with a reverb-drenched synthesiser melody, 'Three Four Five' moves into a bouncy verse with effected guitars, and pulsing drum beat. The big guitar riffs after the second chorus, set the song into a new space, before the re-introduction of the glitzy synth sounds which lend a light summery appeal.
Hucks are: Tom Johnson - vocals / guitar, Brad Havering - guitar, Chris Knight - bass, Conor Hedges - synths, Mark Hayden - drums
