Released today is New York dream-rockers DIIV's new single 'Dopamine'.
With their full-length - 'Is The Is Are' - follow-up to 2012's debut 'Oshin', set for release supposedly at some point before the end of the year, 'Dopamine' is the first taste.
With a 90s hazy reverb glow to it, 'Dopamine' hits all the right dreampop notes with a melding of sweet synths and fuzzy guitars.
Originally known as Dive, Brooklyn's DIIV is the pop project of Zachary Cole Smith, also a member of the like-minded Beach Fossils. Taking the project's name from the Nirvana song, Smith started Dive in 2011 as a vehicle for his own songs and began recording on his own while adding guitarist Andrew Bailey, bassist Devin Ruben Perez, and ex-Smith Westerns drummer Colby Hewitt as his live band.
DIIV embark on a hefty touring schedule as from tomorrow.
