If you happen to be big on your indie rock music and live around Australia's Sydney area you probably won't have escaped local five-piece Bad Pony. And if they have managed to elude you, chances are that will not be the case much longer as not only do they have new single - 'Michael Moore' - out this week, but also their debut EP 'Limbo' is set for an October 1 release, along with a massive 14-date Oz tour.
'Michael Moore' follows the first two EP cuts, 'White Russian' and 'Down To You', and its indie-pop appeal should grab fans of Bombay Bicycle Club and Two Door Cinema Club. Opening on a distorted guitar riff and pounding drum beat it moves rapidly along with quirky little kicks, tumbling synths and drums pinned by Jarred Young’s individual vocal style.
Bad Pony are geeing up for their appearance at Red Deer Festival in October, before heading out on the Australian tour. See poster below for dates.
