Track Of The Day :: Never Young - Stress Hed
Words: Linn Branson
We rated their self-titled debut EP 8.5/10 here back in March, which means we rate Bay Area, California noise-rockers Never Young pretty darned highly.
And they don't disappoint on new track 'Stress Hed', the first part of a three-part EP - recorded with Deafheaven producer Jack Shirley - which drops this Friday via Father/ Daughter Records.
The three tracks, 'Stress Hed', 'New Villain' and 'Latex Heart', collectively called 'NY Singles', will be a stand-alone release and will not appear on the band's second EP that is due before the end of the year.
High on energy, decibels, and the immaculate pairing of Nikolas Soelter and Christopher Adams, on vocals and guitar, while they may foster 'noise' they still maintain an intrinsic melody to mess with your head.
Never Young are on tour in North America next month, with dates as follows:

CA w/Makthaverskan, Lower, Wild Moth
06 Valentine's, Portland, OR
07 The Funhouse, Seattle, WA
