Introducing :: Hello Operator

Words: Linn Branson

Packing some mean 'n' meaty riffs on this first outing, new York four-piece desert rockers Hello Operator release their debut single ‘Stephanie’ via on Ignition Records’ singles imprint Ignition 45’s on January 8 2016. The track will also be available to stream and download from December 4.

Having got together last year, the band (which includes brothers Max, vocals, and Sam, bass, Dalton) first got together back in early 2014. After submitting a track to BBC Introducing, ‘Palm Of My Hand’, this led to their playing a live session and to appearing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds festivals the same year. After spending much of 2015 in the studio working on their first album, they are now ready to unveil 'Stephanie' as the first taster from those sessions.

If you feel in need of releasing your inner headbanger, the weighty distorted riffs, big melodies, crashing cymbals here from a band taking influences from the likes of The Black Keys and Metallica, should more than help you get into the spirit of things.

Having recently opened for Darlia and Blossoms, Hello Operator's next live dates are:

19 London The Lexington
20 Leeds Nation of Shopkeepers (w/The VirginMarys)
21 Sheffield Rockin Chair
27 Manchester Night & Day

Hello Operator are: Max Dalton - vocals/guitar, Pete Greenwood - lead guitar/vocals, Sam Dalton - bass, Eddy Ellison - drums
