December 11 2015 - Hot Top Ten

TERMINAL GODS - MOVEMENT
London-based machine-beat post-punks return with new single ‘Road of the Law’, b/w this B-side, out now via their own label Heavy Leather Promotions. Fierce guitars, pounding drums and explosive synths, complete with Robert Cowlin's baritone.

QUEEN OF JEANS - ROLLERDYKE
Layered pop harmonied follow-up to debut single 'Dance (Get Off Your Ass)' from the Philadelphia girls. Taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut EP put January 22 via Third Uncle Records (US)/Super Fan 99 (UK) on vinyl and cassette.

BLOOM - VOICES
Released last week, the James Bragg-produced latest single from the Exeter-based psych-rockers, coming on the back of their earlier debut 'Oceans'. Contrasting distortion and dreamy power melodies with fast-paced rhythm.

ESCAPISTS - PYRAMID SCHEME
Out today (December 11), the new single from the London quartet. Melodic shoegaze-esque guitar riffs and Simon Glancy’s falsetto lead to big climax. Catch them live tonight at Birthdays in Dalston, London.

VELCRO HOOKS - SEVERIN THE MIND
The Bristol post-punk garage outfit are offering the first taste of their debut album (due 2016), with this single released January 15 via Howling Owl Records. Squalling, off-kilter slab of fuzzed out garage-rock.

NORTH ELEMENTS - AWAKE (ft. Nick Ghost & Lastlings)
Melbourne producer, songwriter and musician Ravi Vithal partners up with emcee Nico Ghost Gold Coast siblings Lastlings (the female vocal you hear belongs to 15-year-old Amy Dowdle) to create something atmospheric with a hip hop rap thrown into a dreampop-tronica mix.

DIOS MIO - HOLY FOOL
Taken from the London outfit's debut EP ‘Hinterland’, which came out on November 27, a slow tempo five-minute track  that gradually builds over Helena Coan's intimate and floating vocals into something grandly compelling.

SLOW TURISMO - FALTER
Canberra’s four-piece offer the urgent and catchy post-funk grooved new single, out today (December 11). Sam Conway’s places his falsetto vocal electronic effects and pulsing synth, alongside introspective lyrics.

VIMES - MIND
Electronic-infused pop from Azar Syed and Julian Stette in their first official single release, taken from debut album ‘Nights In Limbo’ produced by Jochen Naaf (Xul Zolar, Hundreds) out on February 12 2016.

THE CRASH BANDITS - FAST TIMES
From upcoming album, 'Lighten Up', out January 8 2016, produced by Knol Tate (Deleter, Kill Sadie) by the Minneapolis three-piece. Pop punk with strains of hardcore grunge.
