Dubliners Orchid Collective have just released their new single 'Lay As Stone', along with an accompanying music video which was shot in London and shows some impressive night skylines.
The single, out on March 11, is the follow-up to debut single 'Figure It Out' released last year. Mixing vocal harmonies that detail world weariness (“Lay down and rest your troubled head/the world’s not on your side today”), with a soundscape of swelling guitars in a similar vein to Villagers, James Vincent McMorrow and Bon Iver, Orchid Collective offer a beautifully woven piece of alt-indie-folk.
