[Video] King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard - Gamma Knife
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard seem to like being busy, with the Australians having recorded and released two albums within 18 months. Now they are set to drop their fourth full-length, 'Nonagon Infinity', on April 29 via Heavenly Recordings.
After the acid-flecked cosmic jazz of 'Quarters' and the hazy, pastoral, acoustic bliss of 'Paper Mache Dream Balloon', with 'Nonagon Infinity' the Gizzard once again dive head-long into the gonzo freak-beat frenzy that marked their Heavenly debut 'I’m In Your Mind Fuzz'.
Recorded by Wayne Gordon, Paul Maybury, Michael Badger and Stu Mackenzie at Daptone Studios in Brooklyn, each of the nine, complex, blistering tracks on Nonagon Infinity seamlessly flows into the next, with the final song linking straight back into the top of the opener like a sonic mobius strip.
The band also release a single, 'Gamma Knife' on April 29, which is accompanied by a suitably ‘looping’ video directed by Jason Galea, who is responsible for all the band’s incredible artwork and videos.
