TRACK OF THE WEEK
NAKITA - WHERE ARE YOU?
Released on April 12, 16-year-old New Zealander Nakita Turner arrives with an impressive electronic-pop debut of delicate, soaring vocals, glitchy beats and infectious melodies.

HALCYON DRIVE - BOOKS FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Melbourne alt-pop trio (formerly a duo) with new single, out this week, from their upcoming 'Untethered' EP (out May 13). Smooth flowing, mid tempo track, filled with indie hooks and emotive and heartfelt vocals to leave you swooning.

VOES - LIVE THROUGH THIS
A new track from the Abertillery, South Wales quartet, following their recent 'Hold On'. Harriet Whitehead once again lends sweet ear-grabbing vocals over punchy, foot-tapping beats. Catch them live on May 5 at Le Pub in Newport.

PSYCHO COMEDY - ONE
Debut single from Liverpool psychedelic quintet, released on June 3 via Playing With Sound. Produced by Gil Norton, (Pixies, Foo Fighters), there's a fusion of retro experimental, post-punk and psych coupled with a natty line in lyrics. Catch live on May 1 at FestEVOL, Liverpool.

NO LIARS - CATALYST
Lead track from the Canadian hardcore punk five-piece's debut EP. Fast, blistering onslaught with a soft centre melty bit.

LISBON - SHARK
Produced by Dan Austin (Doves, Pixies), this new track - out May 27 - from the alt-pop Newcastle four-piece, packs in a rocky punch, seering guitar riffs and big anthemic style.

LOST WOODS - VODKA OCEAN
Lead from the Adelaide grunge outfit's debut EP, released last week. Jangly indie based on a tail of a musical festival and imbibing too much of the titular spirit.

PSYCHIC HEAT - ELIXIR
Gritty blend of distorted layers of psych-pop and garage-punk riffs by the Kansas rockers, formed by Evan Herd and Tanner Spreer. Taken from their upcoming debut full-length, 'Sunshower', out May 27.

MINOR VICTORIES - SCATTERED ASHES (SONG FOR RICHARD)
Harmonies, synths, guitar pop ambience and The Twilight Sad’s frontman James Graham on support vocals, feature on this track from the various members of Mogwai, Editors, and Slowdive. Taken from their self-titled debut album out June 3 via Play It Again Sam.

LEA PORCELAIN - OUT IS IN
Berlin/London electronic duo, producer Julien Bracht and singer Markus Nikolaus, release this new title track from their EP out via Kobalt on May 27. Rippled with marching drum beats, sprightly percussion and vibrant synths.
