Listen :: The Avalanches announce first album in 16 years and share lead track

It may well be a long wait to put out a follow-up, but 16 years after Australian band The Avalanches released 'Since I Left You' the band announce the 21-track 'Wildflower' will be released on July 8.

Blasi have also unveiled lead single 'Frankie Sinatra', featuring Danny Brown and MF Doom and samples Wilmoth Houdini’s 'Bobby Sox Idol' and The Sound Of Music's 'My Favorite Things'.

The album will also include guest collaborations with Father John Misty, Toro Y Moi, Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux, Mercury Rev's Jonathan Donohue, Camp Lo, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, and Biz Markie (“chomping over a Beatles sample” on 'The Noisy Eater').
