Words: Sam Geary
We're not sure if the sprouts alluded to here are the Brussels variant, but we like the flavour of New York City's psych-pop quartet Color Tongue.
'Sprouts', the first single and title track from their debut album due out in August, opens on a sample of someone saying,
"I was on the moon, but I'm sure glad to be back, Mother!", before a blast of spacey electronics, synths and drums kicks off the five-minute experimental number, offset by soaring garage surf-style vocals.
