Listen :: The Van T’s release EP A Coming of Age and share 'Blood Orange'
Words: Sam Geary
Check out 'A Coming of Age', the new EP by The Van T’s which is out now via Bloc+Music and available to buy on iTunes and stream on Spotify. If you're a fan of Hinds, Veruca Salt or Le Butcherettes, this Glaswegian alt-rock four-piece are likely to be just the thing for you.
Take a listen below to single cut, 'Blood Orange', which was premiered on Huw Stephens BBC Introducing show.
Having begun writing songs at just 17 years old, twin sisters Hannah (guitar, vocals) and Chloe Van Thompson (guitar, vocals) decided to start a band shortly after. Initially playing shows in and around Scotland as a duo, the twins recruited Joanne Forbes (bass) and Shaun Hood (drums) in an attempt to add more layers to an already impressive sound. And... The Van T’s were born, complete with a sunny 50s jukebox style sound and a twist of 90s grunge.
