[Video] Martha - Ice Cream And Sunscreen

Words: Sam Geary

Pity Me (it's a place - near Durham) power pop punk four-piece Martha ready for the release of their second album, 'Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart'  - this Friday, July 8, via Fortuna POP! - with the distinctly summer hols sounding slow burner, 'Ice Cream And Sunscreen'.

'Ice Cream And Sunscreen' is a song about regret. “It’s about getting it bad and getting it wrong," explain the band. "Romanticising something that doesn’t exist. It’s an acknowledgement of some of the more murky places your mind goes when you’re figuring yourself out. Acting like a teenager - whatever that means - in your mid-twenties.”

Check out the video above for the single cut, taken from the MJ (Hookworms) produced album.
