Listen :: Mansionair - Easier

Words: Sam Geary

Sydney synthpop trio Mansionair are back with their new haunting single 'Easier', the lead track from the band's debut album due early next year.

Following ‘Speak Easy’ - the lead cut from their  recent 'Pick Me Up' EP, and after two years with their songs being streamed over 12 million times on Spotify, 'Easier' (which is out now on Glassnote Records), was written in producer-guitarist Lachlan Bostock's living-room then recorded and mixed in Sydney with ARIA winning Flume engineer Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Nick Murphy FKA Chet Faker).

Singer Jack Froggatt says of the song: "'Easier' was loosely inspired by a scene in Sofia Coppola’s Lost In Translation. Written for the moments you find yourself lying on your bed staring at the ceiling and wondering if things will change. It explores the endless piles of questions we can find ourselves asking those around us and the frustration of feeling like you’re going no where."

The band have a run of upcoming dates in Australia, plus a one-off show in Los Angeles next month.
