Goldielocks is the trade name of Canberra native, now Sydney-based, producer and musician Alex Frew. 'Liquify', released late last month, comes from his upcoming second EP 'Luminous' - a late follow-up to 2013's 'Breathe'.
Taking inspiration from various electronic and synth pop sources, he creates the kind of atmospheric space akin to Jamie xx and Flying Lotus. 'Liquify' is built around a looped beat with Frew's quite spellbinding layered vocals and instrumental sample textures. The whole four-and-a-half minute structure of 'Liquify' is unadulteratedly lovely, as fluid and seamless as its title suggests.
