Aussie psych-rockers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have followed their 'Nonagon Infinity' album from earlier this year, with the announcement of plans to release not one, but five studio albums in 2017.

Kicking off with 'Flying Microtonal Banana', due out on February 2 2017 via ATO, you can hear the first single from the album, an eight-minute track 'Rattlesnake', above, accompanied by Jason Galea's video.

Each one of the albums planned for next year is based around a different sonic experiment: 'Flying Microtonal Banana' delving into microtonal tuning (though presumably not bananas).
