With a dash of The Clash, and the tone of The Ramones, from Grantham, Lincolnshire, come killer punks The Shrives (formerly known as Matt Grocott and the Shrives).

Released on October 28 through (Gary Powell of The Libertines label) 25 Hour Convenience Store, 'Madnight' is the latest fast, hard and loud single after ‘What Are You Taking?’, ‘When Did You Get Home’ and ‘Turn Me On’.

All of which were recorded at Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong's Jingletown Studios in Oakland, California and produced by the man too, after a steer by son Joey - founding member and drummer with SoCal's SWMRS.

The video, below, was produced by The Shrives themselves - back home in less glamorous Grantham.

The Shrives play Off The Cuff in London on November 17.
