'Petrichor' is the title track from producer MOTSA's - aka Valerio Dittrich - new EP, which came out last Friday via his own imprint, also called Petrichor.
The half Austrian/half Russian electronic artist was inspired by the UK bass scene which he immersed himself in whilst living in Scotland, and perhaps a touch of its scenery too, judging by the track's stunningly filmed video for which full credit must go to Jakob Carl Sauer, the director of photography.
The EP opening track, ‘Petrichor‘ - also featuring Sophie Lindinger of Austrian experimental pop outfit Leyya - pulses with a dark piano line, throbbing bass, subtle overlays of synths, and the haunting, gossamer fine vocals of Lindinger.
