Watch :: Phobophobes share video for upcoming single 'Human Baby’ in memory of late guitarist

Words: Ellie Ward

South London's Phobophobes are set to release new single ‘Human Baby’ on November 25 via Ra-Ra Rok Records, and ahead of that they share the video for the track which was filmed back in September at a tribute gig for the band’s late guitarist George Bedford Russell who passed away in June.

The clip opens with acclaimed novelist and journalist Will Self reading a poignant poem by George. The track itself is a brilliant Brixton garage/psych rock Talking Heads meets Jim Morrison concoction.

Both 'Human Baby' and B-side, ‘Free The Naked Rambler’ - the last track George recorded with the band - will feature on their debut album due out next year.

Catch Phobophobes live at MAUD, 187 Hoe Street, London E17 on November 16 with Whistlejacket.
