Listen :: Low Chimes - Sleepwalking
Words: Sam Geary
‘Sleepwalking’ is the debut single from Stroud-based Low Chimes (previously known as Hot Feet), released last Friday, April 14.
The slight jazz influence is helmed by the outstanding voice of Marianne Parrish. Juxtaposing themes of physical and mental escapism, the song moves from visiting a lover’s favoured places as though seeing through their eyes, to contemplating the edge of consciousness.
“I love the idea of getting your dreamworld mixed up with reality,” Marianne explains, “where your imagination merges and you’re not sure which one you’re in.”
Low Chimes are supporting Sam Brookes on tour this month.
