Words: Sam Geary
Produced by The Maccabees' Rupert Jarvis, ‘All On Me’ is the just released debut single from multi-national alt-psych pop outfit Imperial Daze.
Although they put out 'Man Out Of Myself' last year, the Argentinian/French five-piece now ensconced in South London, are making the woozy, soulful 'All On Me' their official release, that was "written on an 80s analog keyboard and with no volume restrictions in a Battersea basement. It is a tale of self-delusion set to a funk groove owing heavily to early noughties French electro records. And Bill Withers. Somewhat. Maybe.”
Imperial Daze play London's Groucho Club tonight (May 8) with Matt Maltese. Email Jen@golden-slippers.com for information.
