** VIDEO PREMIERE ** Bright Young People - So Confess

New single ‘So Confess’ sees Rhyl, North Wales rockers Bright Young People channelling a combination of Kurt Cobain style guitar riffs with a touch of Gallagher swagger and Mike Skinner social commentary in its bold and ballsy four and a half minutes.

‘So Confess’, released on November 10 via 25th Hour Convenience Store, is described by vocalist/guitarist Lee Dawson as "a dark groovy tune [that] essentially is you personally dealing with a consequence from an action you might regret."

The single is preceded by its visual partner, which Little Indie premieres here. Shot in and around the streets, bars and underpasses of Manchester after hours in one night, the band explain that they "wanted something that was part performance and also a small reflection of what we get up to at night. We aren't actors so what you see is what you get. You'll find no pretentiousness or ostentatious behaviour from us!"

Directed by Callum Scott-Dyson at CSD Videography (Little Indie's Roundtable panellist this week), on a slim budget - "just him and a camera" -  we see the band walking from pub to pub drinking and smoking through various parts of Manchester, interspersed with performance footage.

"There was no direct influence on the video itself. The fact we have little to no budget and no desire to have a bullshit narrative running  through it shaped the outcome. So, we concentrated on having obscured /arty performance shots mixed with cool night time shots."
