Being described as Australia's London Grammar, Melbourne alt-pop duo Folia go for a heart-tugging second single with 'Heart Beat'.
The self-produced song follows their August debut, 'Without You', and lyrically touches on losing a loved one. Its sparse instrumentation is built around Claire's haunting voice and lightly swelling choruses.
“Fortunately neither of us have lost a significant loved one,” say Claire and Calvin, “'Heart Beat' is our own perception of the agony and frustration that would ensue following the loss of a loved one, encompassed with the fear of this happening and not having the chance to say goodbye.”
