Although it may not seem so, STEVIE is actually a they rather than a solo enterprise. And the Brisbane-based electronic pop trio, fronted by Phoebe Imhoff (formerly of Go Violets), now follow their debut outing of last year - 'Decay' - with newly released track, ‘Toughen Your Skin’.
The Eighties' retro-styled song of catchy beats and shimmery synths, and Imhoff's sweetly soaring voice, draws on real life experiences, says Imhoff: “It chronicles having to watch your friends in rough patches of their lives whilst being an ode to friendship, and the importance of moral support during tough times, when people aren’t making the best decisions for themselves.”
STEVIE play a single launch show at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on December 13.
