Uncompromising 22-year-old Brisbane-based Fijian hip-hop rapper Jesswar is certainly not messing with her hard-hitting - "I'm a savage, I'm a cunt" - debut single.
Recently signed to Golden Era Records, with her first six-track EP out next year, the gritty 'Savage' shows the feisty MC giving no quarter.
The song was written, she says, "not to be shocking, just as a way to say what I wanted over a heavy, bass-driven beat with a hook people could catch. I hope it gives them as much strength as it has given me."
