Best new tracks up from Down Under #2

With the vibrant indie music scene in Australia and New Zealand constantly outshining much of the output from their British and American cousins, Little Indie picks our weekly bunch of some of the best new tracks on offer.

P.H.F. - GLUE

Auckland, NZ punk-pop outfit dropped this newest, surprisingly laid back and melodic, single on December 31 as the follow-up to 'I Hate Myself' - both from the band's forthcoming album of the same name due later this year.

TIGHT KNIT - TOO HOT

Released December 31, the latest sub-three minute offering from Melbourne's lo-fi, fuzz-washed female three-piece.

ALICE IVY - CHASING STARS (feat. Bertie Blackman)

From her debut album 'I'm Dreaming', out February 9, the Melbourne producer precedes her SXSW appearance in March with this single cut of infectious beats.

HARMLESS LIKE YOU - CRY ME TO THE MOON

Our third artist from Melbourne is alt-rock four-piece Harmless Like You.  The grunge-bordered track is the second - after December's 'I'm Fucking Emo' - from their debut full-length 'Growing Pains', out later this year.

MT. MOUNTAIN - CATHEDRAL

Released January 10, 'Cathedral' is a six-minute epic return for the Perth psych-rock five-piece after last year's 'Dust' EP.

YUUCA - RUN

The Brisbane-based psych-pop sextet continue the momentum from their 2015 debut single ‘Breathe’ with latest double A side single: ‘Nami’ and ‘Run’. The latter is the darker of the two, employing synths and minimalist beats.
