Where We Sleep run dark electronica through their 'Veins' on debut single
Words: Sam Geary
Featuring guitars and programming by Debbie Smith (ex Blindness, Curve, Echobelly), 'Veins', is one side of the debut single (with 'Crawl'), released June 8, by Where We Sleep.
The London-based electronic-pop solo project of another former Blindness incumbent, its frontwoman Beth Rettig, fills just under three minutes of atmospheric and captivating arpeggiated synths with slight post-punk/new wave undertones, wrapped stylishly with Beth's enticing vocals. An interesting arrangement that straddles genres to keep it one above the standard electro releases.
