While the cover of The Makeout Club's 'Lose Yourself' may be something of a required taste, everything else about this Brooklyn outfit's single - their first new release since last year's 'Perpetual' - is spot on.
If you're feeling overwhelmed by the heat and a little jaded this Monday, the dance-pop of 'Lose Yourself' is the perfect anecdote.
'Lose Yourself' is, says vocalist Robert Granata, a track about "waking up one morning and not understanding where you are. Who your friends are and the decisions you’ve made. Were they the best for you? Is it alright to lose yourself? Or is it better to turn and face yourself?”
