Directed by Deborah Espect, London-based, multi-national post-rockers Useless Cities share the video for latest single, 'A Little Too Obtuse'.

The gripping cinematic clip features the group in performance shot in black and white, interspersed with several couples going through stages in their relationship, which complements the song's theme which explores an imploding relationship.

“It draws on feelings of vulnerability when things are starting to go wrong," says vocalist and guitarist Tom Argent. "The second half is a little more fraught, yet optimistic in tone - perhaps, after all, this is something worth fighting for.”

Produced by Paul Tipler (Placebo, The Horrors, Idlewild), 'A Little Too Obtuse', released at the end of June, is driven by layered guitars, keys and the band’s male/female vocal dynamic.

Useless Cities play London's Amersham Arms, New Cross on July 13.
