** VIDEO PREMIERE ** Bushes - Sunny Day Mood

Words: Ellie Ward

Bushes, the Wirral-based alt-indie three-piece whose indie guitar rock is coupled with intelligent and thoughtful lyrics, deliver another taste of their sound with the release tomorrow (August 3) of new single 'Sunny Day Mood'.

Ahead of which, the trio gave Little Indie an advance view of their video to this follow-up track to their July 'Friends' single, which was recorded at Monkey Heaven Recordings in Birkenhead by Kurran Karbal (Zuzu) and mixed by Harry Chambers (Hooton Tennis Club).

"I got the idea for 'Sunny Day Mood' when high-rise flats began to pop up obscuring the view of the River Mersey from my childhood bedroom window in New Brighton," says vocalist Paul Easton, of the driven song "about nostalgia, melancholy and not forcing emotion upon a situation."

The DIY clip, self-produced by Bushes in their rehearsal space in Liverpool, is a purely performance-based piece that allows the warmly retro groove track, with sunny vibes and tuneful harmonies, to still take centre stage.
