Indonesia's National Perks offer a dream vibe on 'Recurrence'
Words: Ali Mack
Taken from their debut mini-album 'Genial', released on November 22 via Pavilioon Records (PVL Records), 'Recurrence' is a dreamy slice of alt-pop from Indonesian band National Perks.
The Bandung-based five-piece describe the song as "a simple story of people's vicious cycle in repeating bad decisions only to ended up with regrets."
With Ferdy Destrian's mellow, flowing vocal and Badri Poespoprayitno's shining guitar, 'Recurrence' has a deep nostalgic vibe and owes much to a Western US style in composition.
