Glasgow’s indie art pop five-piece Walt Disco have hit the ground running this year with an absolute screamer of a new single.
The ridiculously catchy synth-driven ‘My Pop Sensibilities’, produced by Chris McCrory, follows on from a busy 2018 for the band with two singles and an EP released: 'Danube', 'Drowning In Your Velvet Bed' and 'No Need For A Curtain'.
The new track is by far their finest and well rounded to date and will have you reaching for the repeat button immediately in the wake of the final tap of the high hat.
Singer/bassist James Potter has a staggeringly unhinged and unique delivery style which roams in unexplored territory somewhere between David Byrne and Forward Russia.
With an energetic and thoroughly enjoyable live set to boot, there’s no danger this will be the last you’ll hear of Walt Disco this year.
Tune in below, and grab the track on cassette (backed w/ ‘Drowning In Your Velvet Bed’) at their King Tut’s show in Glasgow tomorrow (January 19).
