Fontaines D.C. detail April album and share 'Big' video
Words: Sam Geary
Dublin post-punk/garage buzz band of the moment, Fontaines D.C., have announced their debut album, entitled 'Dogrel', is set to arrive on April 13 via Partisan Records.
Preceding that, they share the Molly Keane-directed video to the record's opening track, 'Big'. The clip, featuring 11-year-old Finn McGinnis, shows him heading down Dublin’s Moore Street mouthing the lyrics.
“We felt that great ambition was a sickness,” say the band on the video. “And we got Grian’s [vocalist Grian Chatten] 11-year-old next-door neighbour to say it to you all because he’s got the presence of a hundred frontmen.”
