Track Of The Day :: Larkins are living in a 'TV Dream'

Words: Sam Geary

Accompanying their new synth 'n' guitar single 'TV Dream', Manchester's indie pop quartet Larkins also share the video to the track.

"'TV Dream' was inspired by my grandparents; the idea that romance and dancing has lost its appeal and vigour from what it used to be," explains vocalist Josh Noble, of the big chorus'd and poppy hooks number which is out now via Good Soldier Records. "Instead, when we turn on the TV we see these visions of gender inequality, and blaming sexism on the way people dress. I loved combining such a blissful story of romance with a more serious tone of being influenced by the modern media."

The black and white visual clip is shot as if watching a television screen of the title, featuring the band performing the song.

Larkins play four UK shows early next month before they head to the US for SXSW.
