Released today (March 27), London dream pop quartet Heavy Heart drop their brand new single 'Dowsabel'.
Produced by the band's guitarist Patrick Fitzroy and Gabe Wax (The War On Drugs, Fleet Foxes, Soccer Mommy), it follows previous single, January's 'Bed Bug', which made #1 on Hype Machine's most blogged artists worldwide chart.
“Dowsabel is an old English word for sweetheart, and this song is about a love affair, but it’s a bittersweet, broken and defeated one," reveal the band. "It’s about the jagged edges and the blood we draw; the damager that we do to each other in the name of love. Living in a room filled with dust, dying flowers, and the ghosts of unspoken words, we’re together but alone, too afraid to walk away, prisoners in an unlocked cage”.
Catch Heavy Heart live at London's Camden Assembly (w/ Big Spring + Sick Joy) on April 16.
