Listen :: Tokyo Tea Room - Forever Out of Time
Words: Sam Geary
Psych-dreampop four-piece Tokyo Tea Room are ready to drop new single 'Forever Out of Time' on March 27 via Easter Island Records / Painted Halo Records.
After taking time out last year, the Canterbury-based band return with what they say is a new direction for them in this track: "going further into synths and head into electronic territory."
The melodic 'Forever Out of Time' wafts over you like a caressing breeze, with woozy guitars swaying behind Beth Plumb’s dulcet smooth vocals.
"The concept of being ‘Forever Out of Time’ is something that most people can relate to: holding on to the past, feeling an imbalance in life or trying to move forward or past something,” says guitarist Daniel Elliott.
Catch Tokyo Tea Room live at Elsewhere in Margate on March 29 for a single launch show, followed by Folkestone Quarterhouse on April 13, and 93 Feet East in London on April 19.
