If you fancy a bit of Belgian experimental post-punk then you probably couldn't go wrong with Brussels-based fivesome Whispering Sons. After last October putting out their debut album 'Image', this time around they have recorded a live session EP, 'On Image, as tightly wound an affair as you can get.
The record is dropping on shiny vinyl on April 13 for Record Store Day, and before that there is Tim Theo Deceuninck's darkly defined video, filmed at the Muziekodroom in Hasselt and which features the four EP tracks: 'Got A Light', 'Alone', 'Hollow' and 'No Image'.
Vocalist Fenne Kuppens is a mesmerising watch; while the Whispering Sons sound is far from dulcet, straddling a line somewhere between Eagulls and Joy Division.
