It's not always the length that's important, but the quality - something which Brighton's Safe To Swim sum up perfectly with brief, but tasty, new single, 'Make Things Like They Used To Be'.
Following 'Friends' from late last year, the pacey two minutes of infectious indie pop - released last week - with singalong chorus, whirring synths and psych-edged guitar, show the quartet have their finger on the pulse of feel-good vibes.
"It highlights the universal fear when we eventually hit adulthood," explains the band's London-born, Atlanta-raised frontman Jim Filippides. "Modern adult life is ridiculous and confusing, and it’s all too difficult not to dwell on your contemporary complexities, comparing them with those of your past."
'Make Things Like They Used To Be' is a taster of Safe To Swim’s debut EP, due for release within the next months.
