In it to win it: Pirate Studios launch 'Pirate Prodigy 2019' competition for aspiring artists

Pirate Studios launch Pirate Prodigy 2019, a ground breaking competition to find and nurture new British talent.

Pirate Studios are back with 'Pirate Prodigies', the 2019 version providing more opportunity than ever...The aim remains the same; to find and nurture new British talent, this time across three categories: Band, DJ and MC/vocalist.

An expert panel of industry mentors and judges will support, develop and promote the careers of the three winners. Across the programme, artists will receive one-to-one mentoring and masterclasses that cover every aspect needed to help launch a career from management to publishing, A&R to radio-play, song-writing to PR. The lot. Pirate Studios will supplement this with unlimited free use of their rehearsal facilities, personalised artist merchandise and consultations with premiere music service YouTube Music, as well as promotion across Pirate Studios’ extensive and growing social media channels. The winners will also secure festival slots on all stages Pirate Studio are involved with in 2019 including Isle of Wight Festival, Truck, Kendal Calling, Boomtown and Liverpool Sound City.

In short, these artists will be given everything they need to take their career to the next level.

And it works...just ask Red Rum Club, who won last year's first ever PP.

"We've got a lot to thank Pirate Studios for," say the band. "We've played some of the biggest festivals in the UK, we've signed a record deal, the opportunities and avenues that have opened for us because of winning have been amazing – the Pirate Prodigy has played a big part in what's happening for our band and we've got nothing but good things to say and a big thank you."

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, all you need to do is head to piratestudios.co.uk/prodigy and put forward the one track that best represents you or your band. Be aware these will be transferred to Soundcloud for the public vote. Entries are open now and close April 17.

Pirate Studios operates 350 studios across 22 locations worldwide. As the network of studios has grown, a thriving Pirate community of bands, musicians and DJs has flourished, all utilising an innovative self-service model. In 2019 Pirate will launch another 30 locations across the EU and US.
