Leeds art-rockers MUSH embark on ‘Operation Vaken’
Words: Sam Geary
Taken from their upcoming debut EP 'Induction Party' - out May 31 on 12" and digital via Memphis Industries - Leeds art-rockers MUSH have dropped its first track, ‘Operation Vaken’.
“It’s probably the more directly political track on the record. It is also musically the weirdest," reveals vocalist/guitarist Dan Hyndman of the track, which was recorded by Sweaty Palms’ Ronan Fay at Glasgow’s Green Door Studio. "One of the interesting things about ‘Operation Vaken’ is the name itself which has various connotations relating to the Third Reich. Very strange name for a British operation, not that I’m a conspiracy theorist or owt.”
