Temples are back with 'Hot Motion'
Words: Ellie Ward
Psychsters Temples are back with the announcement of their third album, plus a raft of live shows lined up.
'Hot Motion' is set for release worldwide via ATO Records on September 27, and follows 'Sun Structures' (2014) and 'Volcano' (2017).
“It felt like there was a darker edge to what we were coming up with and we wanted to make sure that carried through across the whole record,” says bassist Thomas Walmsley. “It’s not a ten track, relentless rock record from start to finish, it’s got a lot of light and shade and more tender moments, but that heavier, darker sound for us is something we wanted to make sure was in there and explore further.”
The band have also shared a hypnotic performance video for the title track; a song about “the tensions of desire, dreams and nightmares”.
Temples will embark on a UK tour later this year, along with a European headline tour in the early winter, a number of festival shows over the summer and an extensive US tour in the autumn.
