After unwinding their 'Garden Hose Rainbows' a couple of months ago, Australian Central Coast-based indie-rock trio Nelipot now drop their new single ‘Lucy's Better’.
The belter of a track, released yesterday, was engineered and mixed by Jack Nigro (DMA’s, Skegss) at The Grove Studios, and opens on an onslaught of punk-infused riffs and fast-paced drums, as the distinct and abrasive vocals of frontman Jordan Olyslagers (“It’s just a song about the joy in finding new addiction”) recall the encounters of lust and a head-spinning romance.
To coincide with the release, the band will play another run of shows on the East Coast, which includes an appearance at boutique festival Sesh and The City in Brisbane.
