Russian Baths fill their 'Tracks' with feedback + an eerie vocal

Words: Sam Geary

'Tracks', out today (July19) via Good Eye Records, is lifted from the Brooklyn-based noise-rockgazers Russian Baths' forthcoming debut album, due for release in November.

Gearing up to their full-length with tracks such as last year's 'Poolhouse' and 'Slenderman', following their first single 'Ambulance' back in 2016, the four-minute 'Tracks' is filled with guitarist Jess Rees’ sharp feedback melded around a cacophony of sound and her own eerily ghostlike voice.

“If a friend takes something very personal, very private from you, do you forgive them? If you see someone’s worst self, how do you react? Would you choose yourself to be yourself? Is self respect something you feel because you’re good or does self respect make you good?” is how vocalist and guitarist Luke Koz explains the song’s meaning.
