Post-punk/dark pop-grunge four-piece GHUM - now based in London but hailing from Spain, Brazil, as well as less exotic Essex! - dropped their new EP, 'The Coldest Fire', last week via Everthing Sucks Music, and its four tracks have been picking up plaudits widely, from the Observer to Steve Lamacq on 6 Music.
Our Track Of The Day is the closing number from this second EP (the follow up to 2017's self-titled debut), 'In My Head - which it likely will be once you've heard it.
GHUM (Laura Guerrero Lora - vocals;
Marina MJ - bass; Vicki Butler - drums; Jojo Khor - guitar, vocals) sound like a transplanted Warpaint, with a brooding melodic darkness, that is lush, fragile, stirring, yet with a platinum coated exterior.
