Share the jam as Shredd 'Freak Out'

Words: Sam Geary

Incendiary garage-rock trio Shredd
bring some more Glaswegian head-melting loud firepower to their new single.

The follow up to ‘Rot’, the four and a half minute ‘Freak Out’ is no less a sonic onslaught, powered by a mighty weight of clamorous drums, a hefty bassline, reverb-heavy guitars and hammered cymbals.

“‘Freak Out’ has been in our live set for a while and it seems to be a favourite when we play," they say. "Lyrically the song is about overthinking and reading into situations too much, the issues that can cause for you and the others involved.”

Catch Shredd live at King Tut’s Summer Nights in Glasgow on August 15, Tenement Trail Moves East festival in Glasgow on October 12, and November 8 in Blackpool at Bootleg Social.
