T.O.L.D. (The Order of Life and Death), aka Daniel Smith, the Los Angeles-based British singer, songwriter and record producer, has dropped the latest track in his ever-increasing catalogue, 'Decisions'.
Inspired by the idea that "free will, and the pressure to always make the right choice is the real cause of anxiety", the evocative, electronically textured 'Decisions' follows the earlier release of his 'Same Blood' EP,
"I had been feeling exhausted by constantly making decisions," says Daniel. "Not just the little everyday ones, but the kind that determine what happens with what you create as an artist. The kind that either leads your conscience to feel guilty for making too much noise or feel guilty for not making enough noise.
"The cover art is a photo my girlfriend took of me in the studio when I was working on a new project, I just wanted to work on the art of the project but kept being pulled away to make superficial decisions. I was exhausted after weeks of deciding on the artwork for the 'Same Blood' EP. I just said 'Fuck it, just take a picture of me right now and we'll use it for the artwork'."
