Synthpop duo Glowing Screens make their debut with 'Wired to the Stars'

Words: Sam Geary

Released last week, electronic synthpop duo, Washington DC's Glowing Screens make their entrance with first single, 'Wired to the Stars'.

The currently Virginia-based two-piece, Becca and Jeremy Joseph, take inspiration from the likes of New Order, Aphex Twin, and Brian Eno, and mold it around lyrical themes of alienation in a technological society, environmental degradation, female empowerment, and love in a sci-fi dystopia.

'Wired to the Stars', the lead cut off their debut album 'Watching Me Watching You' (due early 2020), was produced with Cecil Decker (Autocorrect), and fills three minutes with complementary dual vocals and steady layers of synth which lend a shimmering lightness to the catchy melodies.
