Alice Jemima has unveiled her latest
video for single ‘Somebody’.
The clip for the track, which is taken from her new album ‘Everything Changes’, out February 28 2020, was directed by Anna Baumgart and Julia Watson, and sees Jemima employing a more experimental edge, layering drums, bongos and a house-kick over a sultry vocal.
“The track centres around that fear of ‘missing out’ (FOMO!) but particularly the fear of missing out on being close to somebody you really care about," she says. "The repetition of your daily routine gets in the way and can be hard to break from - and actually stepping out of that routine can be a scary thought! Ultimately the track is about wanting to let go…”
Catch Alice live tonight (November 27) on tour with Sophie Ellis-Bextor at The Anvil, Basingstoke, and tomorrow at G Live, Guildford.
