Track Of The Day :: Avalanche Party - Howl

Words: Izzy Butler

No sooner than they gave us 'Rebel Forever' than garage-punks Avalanche Party unleash a new humdinger.

‘Howl’ is the latest to be lifted from their incoming debut album, released on November 22. Containing a similar, wonderfully infectious swagger 'n’ roll, 'Howl' comes via a surreal video that has its tongue firmly in its cheek, as the band state:

“The video is taken straight from Avalanche Party's live tv performance on Buzz back in 1973, where their smart suits, trim hairstyles and dope beats helped them stand out from Sweet, Slade and Mud, propelling them to the forefront of UK popular culture.

Filmed by the great James Tigerman Campbell and featuring a celebrity guest appearance from Jimmy 'when are you going away' Mac.”

On top of this, the band have recently announced that they’ll be allocating free passes to their tour shows for any employees of the NHS, an institution very close to their hearts. See dates below.
