It's a fat Friday drop for The Snuts with 'Fatboy Slim’

Words: Ellie Ward

The Snuts are up and running as they prepare to continue into 2020 the buzz they created the previous year. Today they release their dance-pit anthem ‘Fatboy Slim’, along with the announcement of their new ‘Mixtape EP’, out March 13 on Parlophone Records.

Recorded in LA with Inflo (Karen O / Danger Mouse, Michael Kiwanuka, Little Simz) and Tony Hoffer (Beck, Goldfrapp, M83), the track is the second to be taken from ‘Mixtape EP’ and is filled with all the hooks and groove that you might expect.

"The song is a nod to the nostalgic subculture of live music across the UK in the 90s and similar decades," says lead singer Jack Cochrane. "Toying with the idea of sampled drum loops and an electronic music styled structure the track is intended to pay homage to Fatboy Slim's notorious set at Brighton beach almost 15 years ago."

The Snuts embark on a spring UK and Ireland tour, including London’s Kentish Town Forum on April 30. Pre-sale for the tour sold-out in under an hour, general tickets on sale now here.
